Fourth of July at Gasworks Park

Did you see the Tyrannosaurus Rex pooping out children? The accordion playing face painters? The nauseous gravity ball riders? And did you catch that Baby Got Back sample?! The 2014 Fourth of July Seattle celebration did not disappoint! There was plenty to see and do, including bouncy castles, carnival rides, face painting, parachuters, and a helluva lot of fireworks. At one point, I heard a girl behind me state ‘I fucking love America!’ as a cargo plane flew an American flag over the celebration. There was no shortage of cheery neon-light toters, either – some were in full regalia, with sparkle dresses, gloves and headpieces! And the dj’s kept it real for at least one minute with local favorites Sir Mix-a-Lot and Mackelmore.

Check out my pictures from this year’s celebration! The Saturn-shaped fireworks and crazy sparkle explosions were rockin’, along with the classic golden bombs that fizzle and spray as they fall.
